The Monument honors the courage, sacrifice, and unifying legacy of the Special Operations Forces, CIA Operators, and Afghan allies who answered our nation's call in the days following September 11, 2001.
It symbolizes the unity of purpose that defines our nation — a place of remembrance, reflection, and gratitude for generations to come.
As we approach the 25th anniversary of Task Force Dagger, we are reminded of the extraordinary courage, skill, and unity of purpose demonstrated by the Special Operations Forces, CIA Operators, and Afghan allies who answered our nation's call after September 11, 2001.
Today, we gather to honor their legacy at the place where it is most powerfully represented — America's Response Monument in Liberty Park.
This commemoration is more than a milestone; it is a recommitment to preserving their story, caring for the Monument they inspire, and investing in the next generation through the Strength and Honor Scholarship.

Guests walk together across the South Bridge over West Street — a short procession from remembrance to celebration.
At Convene, 225 Liberty Street — directly across the bridge. A reception for approximately 300 guests featuring heavy hors d'oeuvres, an evening program of speakers, and film tributes to those who served.

Every partnership includes two Guests of Honor. These invitations are not given away — they are returned. Each partner hosts, as their personal guests, members of the Task Force Dagger family: the Green Berets who rode into the Darya Suf, the Night Stalkers who flew them through the mountains, the CIA operators who went in first, the Air Force Air Commandos who fought both alongside their Green Beret brothers as well as from above — and, of course, our Afghan allies who carried the heaviest of the burden, fighting for the future of their country.
Twenty-five years ago, these men and women answered the call for all of us. On October 16th, they are our guests of honor.
The mission doesn't end on October 16. Year-round gifts preserve the Monument and sustain the Strength and Honor Scholarship — at any level, whether or not you can attend.
